Charlotte Strength is looking for a part-time, evening coach for the NoDa Fit Program. NoDa Fit is our functional fitness program that uses a combination of our bodies, external loads, monostructural exercises, and functional movement. NoDa Fit group classes provide a complete fitness offering inside of 60 minutes with a specialized warmup, intensive movement instruction, and approachable, but challenging conditioning, allowing NoDa Fit to be an excellent standalone track for those focused on moving well and quickly. The program also serves as a complementary training piece to those following the Heavy Metal Weightlifting, Strength Foundations, or Barbell Basics programs where absolute strength is more heavily emphasized.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent coaching knowledge, leadership, and communication skills to effectively lead NoDa Fit classes with the support and guidance of the Fitness Director and Management. All coaches should be able to coach any skill level of athlete, from beginner to advanced athletes and/or competitors. Coaches should be self motivated and a team player with the ability to get along with all personality types in order to help athletes reach their goals.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor
Run NoDa Fit classes in an effective & timely manner
Coach approximately 4-8 1-hour classes per week
Demonstrate proper form and technique
Ensure classes are effective, safe and fun
Offer additional support to help athletes achieve their fitness goals
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current athletes and convert potential
leads
Engage with company social media platforms and help participate in social media presence
Promote all internal programs, events, and special offers
Promote the Charlotte Strength Community
Help maintain a clean and safe environment
Attend required coaching meetings
Adhere to all Charlotte Strength Policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
CrossFit Level 1 certification required (Preference will be given to candidates with additional qualifications such as CrossFit Level 2, USAW Certification, CSCS, or other CrossFit course certifications)
CPR Certification required
Ability to connect with athletes and build community
Ability to motivate others and implement new ideas
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be on time to all meetings, events, and early to all classes coaching
Ability to multitask
Previous experience with references required
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
$20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience and certifications
