Must understand that RockBox Fitness is a business, and in order to help people and provide for all employees, it must be profitable. This requires a sales aptitude (meaning not afraid to ask clients to do things that help them and the business).

Ensure circuit is set up and in accord with focus area for the day.
Must know internal promotions for the week so it sounds smooth when presenting it to the clients
Spot check the facility during session to ensure nothing is out of place (Assistant Trainer should perform this function for sessions staffed with an Assistant)
Never be on your cell phone other than for music and timer
You should sweat from motion. Action breeds action.
Demonstrate all exercises prior to having anyone start the circuit. RockBox trainers show instead of tell.
‘Work the room’ by moving about constantly and interacting with everyone personally
Practice 2/2/2 – Two uses of each members name during workout. Two form corrections/adjustments for each member during session, always with positive encouragement. Two APPROPRIATE touches like fist bumps, light back pats, and form correction with permission first.
Thank each member for their attendance, make announcements, and remind members how much their mention of RockBox on social media and their referrals means to us as a business.
Reset the equipment for the workout so it is ready for the next session
Emphatically greet all members by name within 10 seconds of them walking in the door (a person’s name is the sweetest sound in the English language)
Tell appropriate trainer or GM about possible referrals you will have coming in when you may not be at the studio
End of Shift:
Break down and put away all equipment used in circuit (unless leaving it up for next trainer)
For last shift of the morning, afternoon and evening, turn off any fans, turn off lights (or LIFX lights down to 30%), lock back door, flip switch on magnetic door lock and check to ensure it is locked after leaving
Monthly member churn is below 2%
Members feel 100% support from training staff at RockBox and refer their friends to become members
All workouts are set up prior to clients coming in and reset between sessions.
Facility is opened up and closed down properly (lights, lock, etc.)
Facility is spotless for next trainer.
Announcements are made before & after class for internal promotions and members are participating in events and promotions. People sign up for these promotions because the trainer is genuinely trying to get them to sign up for the right reasons.
Trainer acquires referrals and lets General Manager know who and when.
Clients are greeted with enthusiasm and their day improved for having attended your session.
Workouts are high-energy and everyone sees the trainer working harder than they are.
