Key player in the retention of existing clients through amazing customer service, personal training sessions, group sessions
Instrumental in the promotion of all internal offers (both supplements and internal specialty programs) and internal member events by announcing them with the intention of getting clients excited before AND after every session. The suggestive sales approach is always done with positive intent, and never as an afterthought.
Focused on acquiring new customers through targeted referral questions at both internal member events and before and after workouts and through digital interactions on social media and texts.
During shifts, keeps a spotless facility and ensures as such prior to leaving so next trainer inherits the same.
Coaches 6-week Challengers via text, phone, email and Facebook.
Communicates with each challenger no less than twice per week and writes in progress folder at least once per week.
Works diligently through servitude and leadership to convert Challengers to EFT 12-month members

Must be high energy and positive at all times. We are a respite from a tough day for our members.
Must be selfless and a team player.
Current on training certifications
Must understand that RockBox Fitness is a business, and in order to help people and provide for all employees, it must be profitable. This requires a sales aptitude (meaning not afraid to ask clients to do things that help them and the business).
Must LOVE appreciating customers and giving them an amazing experience to retain them and keep them coming back month after month, year after year.
Must greet all members BY NAME. If you don't know their name, simply ask for it and then ensure you remember it.
Responsibilities:
Beginning of Shift
Be to facility and ready to go 30 minutes prior to start of the first class to greet members and give them your full attention while they arrive.
Ensure circuit is set up and in accord with focus area for the day.
Must know internal promotions for the week so it sounds smooth when presenting it to the clients
Spot check the facility during session to ensure nothing is out of place (Assistant Trainer should perform this function for sessions staffed with an Assistant)
During Sessions
Never be on your cell phone other than for music and timer
You should sweat from motion. Action breeds action.
Demonstrate all exercises prior to having anyone start the circuit. RockBox trainers show instead of tell.
‘Work the room’ by moving about constantly and interacting with everyone personally
Practice 2/2/2 – Two uses of each members name during workout. Two form corrections/adjustments for each member during session, always with positive encouragement. Two APPROPRIATE touches like fist bumps, light back pats, and form correction with permission first.
Thank each member for their attendance, make announcements, and remind members how much their mention of RockBox on social media and their referrals means to us as a business.
Between Sessions
Reset the equipment for the workout so it is ready for the next session
Emphatically greet all members by name within 10 seconds of them walking in the door (a person’s name is the sweetest sound in the English language)
Tell appropriate trainer or GM about possible referrals you will have coming in when you may not be at the studio
End of Shift:
Break down and put away all equipment used in circuit (unless leaving it up for next trainer)
For last shift of the morning, afternoon and evening, turn off any fans, turn off lights (or LIFX lights down to 30%), lock back door, flip switch on magnetic door lock and check to ensure it is locked after leaving
Results:
Monthly member churn is below 2%
Members feel 100% support from training staff at RockBox and refer their friends to become members
All workouts are set up prior to clients coming in and reset between sessions.
Facility is opened up and closed down properly (lights, lock, etc.)
Facility is spotless for next trainer.
Announcements are made before & after class for internal promotions and members are participating in events and promotions. People sign up for these promotions because the trainer is genuinely trying to get them to sign up for the right reasons.
Trainer acquires referrals and lets General Manager know who and when.
Clients are greeted with enthusiasm and their day improved for having attended your session.
Workouts are high-energy and everyone sees the trainer working harder than they are.
