3 Reasons You Should Try High Fitness

High Fitness is a newer format to the east coast, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying it out!  It has hit the west coast by storm with packed classes, sold out events, and hundreds of instructors.  High Fitness has brought back aerobics in a hip and unique way and here’s 3 reasons why you should try it out:

1. The playlist!  K, what?  I thought we were talking about exercise…but hear me out.  Music is the driving force in a High class!  With songs so fun and upbeat, you won’t even realize you’re sweating your brains out.  (Until the cool down of course.  Own that sweat.)  We have tracks that hit a wide variety of genres and decades so you’re sure to LOVE what you hear!  Karaoke is highly encouraged.  And the best part?  It’s the real versions of the songs!  None of the techno, revamped stuff.  Lady Gaga, AC/DC, Beyonce, Beastie Boys, Ariana Grande, etc. in their pure goodness!

2. Simple and easy to follow choreography!  Whew!  What a relief.  So if you’re thinking “I can never keep up in dance classes.”…you’re in good company!  Many participants do NOT have a dance background and are pleasantly surprised how much they pick up on.  You’re going to get a variety of aerobic choreo with interval training moves mixed in…what a magical combo!  One of the co-founders of High Fitness doesn’t even consider herself a “dancer.”  So if SHE can do it…so can you! ;)

3. ALL fitness levels can participate!  Yes, High Fitness can push you to the brink if you want it to.  But instructors will show lower impact options if you need that!  I want everyone to feel welcome and I couldn’t care less if you do not complete one jumping jack, squat jump or burpee.  Just do one of the options I show!  The endorphins and sweat will still flow and I promise you’ll still feel like an important part of the class.  (And if all else fails…just karaoke like there’s no tomorrow!)

By definition, “High” means “passing above a normal level, surface, base of measurement, or elevation.”  And that is exactly what happens during a High Fitness class.  You’ll be “high” in spirit, “high” in endorphins, and “high” in accomplishment.  There is NOTHING like participating in and finishing a High class.  You’ll be riding that High for quite some time and will be IG messaging me to find out when the next class is!

So come join me on Tuesday, August 10 at 6pm!  I’ll be teaching High Fitness for our Met Sweat with SweatNET Charlotte.  The playlist is SO fun!  All I need is YOU!  Bring your tennies, a sweat rag, and a water bottle!  See you Tuesday night!
