Greatwoods Nature

Greatwoods Nature is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in a beautiful park just outside the city. Our mission is to hold a space for our Charlotte community, with special consideration to healthcare and wellness professionals/operators, to come unplug, discover, learn, and play within the bounds of our lush and thriving 28-acre garden and forest.

We think it is now more important than ever to help people recover from the daily stresses of constant screens and social isolation by offering therapeutic services and experiential education classes to help reconnect to oneself and to the natural world. We truly believe Nature supports our healing journey and our motto is “Creating wellness through experience”.

We offer a variety of wellness services, including traditional services like mental health counseling sessions and therapeutic groups as well as classes, workshops and retreats with Yoga, Tai Chi teachers and other holistic practitioners. We also offer our space for events.
