Father of 3 mini-mes. Husband. Fitness junkie. Professional Engineer. I started off 2018 close to 270 lbs. I was out of shape, had high blood pressure, and was not in a good place physically or as it pertained to my self-worth. I was fed up. I DECIDED to make some changes. I started intermittent fasting and going to the gym DAILY at 5 AM. I intentionally took it slow, at first, as every other time I’d attempted to fight the battle of the bulge, I would inevitably get injured by trying to do too much too quick. My approach was that of consistency over intensity. The journey has not been an easy one. There are no shortcuts, no cheat codes when it comes to getting in better shape…you must put in THE WORK. “You Can’t Hide Hard Work” has been my mantra. I began going to the YMCA and walking on an incline, doing the stair climber or bike, and some light dumbbell strength training. Then in August of 2018, I found Orangetheory Fitness, and the rest is history. To date, I have lost over 70 lbs and feel like I’m in the best shape of my life! I am the one who put in the work, but I would never have gotten to where I am without the encouragement from my fitness community…this is why I knew I wanted to partner with SweatNET. I wanted a forum where I could pay forward the investment others have made in me. I am proud of how far I’ve already come, but I cannot wait to see how far WE can go!
