Recently having relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area, Nina is no stranger to the Upstate. She grew up in Spartanburg, but has lived or studied in all four corners of the country. Her professional background is as diverse as some of the places she’s lived. Upon graduating with a business degree from Tulane University, Nina quickly began a family and embarked on a career in Charleston, SC. The years that followed were filled with cross-country moves and a variety of marketing and entrepreneurship opportunities that spanned industries, ultimately finding a home within health and wellness. While balancing a career in marketing and managing a family with two teenaged children, Nina also runs her own donation-based reiki practice.
When she’s not juggling reiki, family, and career, you can find Nina practicing and teaching yoga. She was introduced to yoga when she took her first ashtanga class in 2001 in Spokane, WA. It would be another seven years before she’d take her first hot yoga class, where she discovered power flow and Bikram styles, and another eleven years before she’d venture to get her yoga teacher training certification in the Baptiste method of yoga. She teaches three classes per week at Soul Yoga Five Forks and is working towards achieving her RYT-500 and Y12SR certifications by February 2022.
Nina’s passion in life is to help guide others on their own journeys of awakening and expanding consciousness through mindful practice of meditation, thoughtful discussion, yoga, and reiki healing.
