Outdoor Entertaining with DIY Hummus Bar

This DIY hummus bar is here to celebrate the beginning of summer. This means we’re back to outdoor festivities and social gatherings. What makes this summer extra special, is that most of us get to enjoy each others company without the masks. We’re starting to plan meals for our outdoor get-togethers with friends and family. However, most of us would prefer to avoid the inevitable “double-dipping.”

To get us back into a groove of eating and sharing together, a great gathering tip is a “create your own” snack bar. This is a wonderful way to have your guests interact and have fun making something personalized. A food favorite of ours is hummus! This yummy protein-packed, plant-based food is a great base for creating your own snack. Some of our favorite hummus’ come from Aldi’s where there are several flavors to choose from including roasted red pepper, roasted garlic, classic, spicy, olive tapenade, roasted pine nut, cilantro, jalapeño, and brownie batter hummus for our sweet-tooth friends!

Let’s Party! Start by setting-up your hummus bar with all the different flavored hummus’ in bowls. Have all the extra toppings separated and ready for serving along with cups and utensils for your guests to “create their own” hummus cup!
