“If you don’t try, you may never know your full potential”

Is there any fitness/health related product or brand you can not live without?
My TRX staps. I can use them at home as well as when I travel. Easy to transport and easy to install!

How would you describe your philosophy about being fit and healthy?
When you maintain a healthy lifestyle, you start to be more aware of the choices you make that may hinder you from reaching your full potential. When you are more aware of the choices you make you become more in tune with your body.

Who or what gives you the most inspiration?
My husband. We workout together and hold one another accountable!

How did you get started creating your passion into the profession you have today?
Kind of naturally just happened starting from a young age. I’ve always loved being active outdoors and loved being part of a team. I grew up playing sports and played Division 1 Field Hockey on a full athletic scholarship. Once graduating college, I continued to live a healthy lifestyle because I really knew no different. I loved the way a good sweat made me feel!

You’re living your most perfect day- what does this look like?
Wake up. Coffee on. Go for a walk with my son. Teach a few fitness classes. Then enjoy family time. A trip to the mountains or the beach fall into place on occasion.

Now what’s your actual typical day look like?
Wake up. Coffee on. Go for a walk with my son. Teach a few fitness classes. Then enjoy family time. A trip to the mountains or the beach fall into place on occasion. Same life, different day. I love my life.

What does you typical day of eating look like? What about cheat days/meals?
I eat pretty healthy, I do not diet.
Breakfast-Eggs and avocado
Lunch- PB&J or Chicken and veggies
Snack-Nuts and cheese
Dinner- Chicken, veggies, Sweet Potatoes
Snack-Oreos

What makes you laugh, smile, and be joyful?
My son Rivers is hilarious…but also when people trip when running. I know thats awful, but I hysterically laugh then eventually ask if they are ok.

If you could change one thing about the fitness industry, what would it be?
Focus more on proper movement in class settings. Industry gets carried away with the bigger the class the better, but its so hard to correct form in a class of 20+. Lets stop promoting BIGGER is BETTER!

What pitfalls, mistakes, or fads would you advise to newbies starting out in fitness to avoid.
Hmmm, not sure, I mean I support all forms of movement and always say at least try something new once. Fads, well stop posting your booty on the gram because you get more likes in your new lulu
…#justsayin

Besides your regular workout, what kicks your ass the hardest when you do it?
MADabolic hands down is one of the best workouts Ive ever been too. Love that place.

Do you ever feel like quitting or lose your motivation? What do you do to fix it?
Nope. Im a lifer! Ive felt lazy, but never like giving up. The feeling of giving up motivates me to push through if that makes sense. I dont want to ever wake up and say nope not today!

What is ANYTHING that everyone should try at least once?
TRX!!

Where do you want to be in 5 years?
I live day to day and try not to for-see the future. In 5 years, my son will be in 1st grade and I hope to be able to continue to provide for him doing what I love!

Give us a non-traditional fitness tip.
Eat the pizza!

What is your biggest vice?
Hmmm…
Falling asleep when a movie plays. I am the worst date.

What is your spirit animal and why?
Gazelle – I can run for days.
