Dr. Francesca’s Famous Chili

Ingredients


1 yellow onion
2 cloves garlic, minced OR 2 tsp minced garlic
1lbs ground beef
1lbs sausage
2 cans kidney beans
2 cans fire roasted tomatoes
1 medium sweet potato, cubed and roasted or air fried (optional)
2 tsp Smoked paprika
2 tsp Cumin
1/2 tsp Chili powder
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Oregano

Topping Suggestions

Sour cream
Cashew Yogurt (for non-dairy option)
Cheddar cheese
Siete chips
Avocado

Cooking Instructions


 In a large skillet sauté diced onion and minced garlic
Once onions are translucent, add ground beef and sausage and cook on medium heat until all “pink” is gone
Add kidney beans, tomatoes, sweet potatoes (optional) and all spices
Let simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes
Enjoy with your preferred toppings!
